Our goal is to support interns in mastering the foundational skills of becoming a Certified Child Life Specialists. Through clinical experience and in-depth supervision and reflection, our students will put theory into practice in order to be job-ready by the end of their required hours.
Internships
Behavioral Health Internships
MultiCare Behavioral Health has a number of in-depth, non-medical internships available in Pierce County for students who are working toward graduate degrees in a range of mental health fields, including counseling, child and family services and chemical dependency.
Administrative Internship Program
This is a summertime opportunity that takes place over 10-13 weeks. Inviting students from Masters-level health administration, business administration or similar field that will be exposed to the complexity of the health care industry through various projects and preceptor shadowing.
Cope Health Scholars
As a Health Scholar, you will gain firsthand experience in both clinical and administrative health care settings and become an integral part of the care delivery team. You will assist with basic comfort care for patients alongside nurses, physicians, and other members of the care delivery team. You will have exclusive opportunities to prepare yourself for a career in health care by learning the ins and outs of a variety of areas in the field.
MultiCare Academy for Students in Healthcare Camp
Nurse Camp has evolved and now has a new name! We are excited to announce and share the new name is MultiCare Academy for Students in Healthcare. The health care enrichment program introduces students to a holistic approach to patient care. Students will have the opportunity to learn about the diverse health professionals working together to ensure the hospital operates and functions smoothly to ensure we deliver high-quality care to patients in the Pacific Northwest region.
