RN Residency

RN Transition to Practice Program

At MultiCare, we understand the impact a Residency has during your transition from student to professional nurse. That’s why we have designed our RN Transition to Practice Program with a greater mission – To ease the transition of newly licensed nurses into a culture of dynamic nursing practice through the development of competence, autonomy, and connection to purpose.

Are you an experienced RN looking to enter a new specialty? Check out our RN Fellowship Program.

ANCC Accreditation

We are thrilled to announce that as of November 2023, our program is accredited by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Practice Transition Accreditation Program.

Accreditation includes MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital, MultiCare Good Samaritan Hospital, MultiCare Auburn Medical Center, MultiCare Covington Medical Center, MultiCare Allenmore Hospital, MultiCare Deaconess Hospital and Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital for behavioral health, critical care, emergency department, medical-surgical, neonatal intensive care, labor & delivery, operating room, pediatric intensive care and step-down nursing.

What is ANCC Accreditation?

This ANCC accreditation validates hospital residency programs that support registered nurses during their first year of acute care experience. To be certified, programs must meet rigorous, evidence-based standards for quality and excellence.
