About the Health Scholar Program

We currently offer two types of programs:

The Health Scholars Program: For individuals 18 years and older who are interested in health care careers. Program participants range from current students enrolled in local 2-year or 4-year colleges and universities, individuals preparing for graduate-level education, or career changers seeking to gain experience and network.

The Junior Health Scholars Program: For high school students between the ages of 16-18.

As a Health Scholar, you will build firsthand experience in both clinical and administrative health care settings and become an integral part of the care delivery team. You will assist with basic comfort care for patients alongside nurses, physicians, and other members of the care delivery team. You will have exclusive opportunities to prepare yourself for a career in health care by learning the ins and outs of a variety of areas in the field.
