Nurse Technician Program
About the program
Are you enrolled in nursing school and looking to jump start your career? Apply for our nurse tech program! This exciting opportunity allows you to explore nursing career paths while gaining hands-on experience. MultiCare will also help fast track your transition to the RN Transition to Practice program after graduation. The program is available in the Puget Sound region, the Yakima Valley region and the Inland Northwest region — including Spokane and Spokane Valley.
Program structure
Step 1) Earn a wage while working as a nurse tech in our program designed to support and accelerate the skills you’re learning in nursing school.
Step 2) Opportunity to develop a custom career plan and be placed on units based on interest and unit capacity.
Step 3) Upon graduation, apply to transition to our RN Transition to Practice program to transition from student to professional nurse!
Program requirements
- 18 years of age or older
- Possess a high school diploma or GED
- In good standing with ADN/BSN nursing program
- Completed at least one academic term which included a clinical component
- Able to meet WA State requirements to obtain a Nurse Technician License
- Minimum 6 shifts every six weeks
- Opportunity to work between 6, 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts during the school year, based on availability; one shift per week required
