About the Program

MultiCare offers a Radiology Technologist Training Program in collaboration with academic partners such as Tacoma Community College, PIMA Medical Institute, Bellevue College and Oregon Institute of Technology. As part of the program, MultiCare provides a $2,500 tuition assistance stipend to help participating students advance their education and begin their careers in imaging and radiology. This opportunity is available throughout the greater Puget Sound region, including Tacoma, Puyallup, Gig Harbor, Auburn, Covington and Olympia.

Career Spotlight

Compensation & Benefits

  •  This is a PRN position; no benefits are offered during training.
  • Apply to the desired location for placement after being licensed into an FTE position.

Program Cost

  •  MultiCare does not cover program costs, CPR certification, testing or license fees.
  • MultiCare will offer a tuition assistance stipend of $2,500 to students after hire to assist them in completing their program.

Program Schedule

  • When imaging students are 3-6 months from graduation, they will be invited to participate in our Imaging Tech Program.
  • Students would apply for a PRN Tech position, committing to an FTE position at graduation.
  • If accepted, they would be qualified for a $2,500 tuition assistance stipend to assist them in successfully completing their program.
  • Applicants would need to provide two letters of recommendation, 1 must be from MultiCare.

Program Requirements

  • WA State Radiologic Technician License.
  • Two letters of recommendation; 1 must be from MultiCare.
  • BLS is in good standing in your imaging program.
  • Minimum 6 shifts every 6 weeks.

Employment at MultiCare

If offered a position in the program, you will be a PRN employee of MultiCare. Upon obtaining a license, the participant will apply to the desired location for placement into an FTE position.
