Whether you’re a college student completing program requirements or a volunteer exploring your future, MultiCare offers job shadowing opportunities that provide meaningful, real-world exposure to health care careers.
We offer two distinct pathways to help you take the next step on your journey:
Job shadowing through volunteer services
Best for: Active MultiCare volunteers and high school students.
This option is open to active volunteers interested in observing health care professionals in a real-world setting.
- Requires 60 hours of volunteer service before eligibility
- Observation-only, no hands-on care
- Participants must be at least 16 years old
College student job shadow program
Best for: College students in accredited health care programs with required shadowing hours.
This one-time, observation-only program is designed for students pursuing careers in areas like therapy, radiology and pharmacy who need shadow hours as part of their program requirements.
Key details:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Your school must be accredited and affiliated with MultiCare
- Applications should be submitted 6–8 weeks before your school’s deadline
- Up to 8 hours of shadowing is available in select departments
- Observation only – no hands-on or clinical care
